We had the pleasure of installing woodburning stoves into this stunning thatched cottage which has been fully refurbished & Modernised with a new extension & beautifully decorated, which meant we were under pressure to come up with 2 x stoves the owners wanted installed in the sitting & dining rooms.

Sitting room being the larger room with a lovely big inglenook which was crying out for a stylish stove, The customer & ourselves came up with these modern antique looking French style stoves which look & fit perfectly in the style of the cottage interior, these stoves are for ambient use at 5kw as the cottage has underfloor heating all around so not under powered. The inglenook we installed a t-piece sweeping hatch up through gasket, plated closureplate, liner wrapped & supported in Chimwrap heat resistant jacket to prevent heat transfer to thatch, & if the worse was to happen will withstand a fire at 1000 Degrees for 3 hours before allowing heat transfer to the thatched roof, plenty of time for the fire brigade to get it under control with out burning this beautiful cottage down, New pot, cowl & flaunching..

The Dining room chest French style stove also fits beautifully in the recess of the chimney completing the look of the room, we removed old liner & installed new liner & heat resistant pellets in the chimney chamber as chamber much smaller to help again with heat transfer, we installed a quick release t-piece sweeping hatch to the stove pipe work for easier sweeping, again through closureplate, new pot, cowl & flaunching. Articulated boom access platform used for access as thatched cottage preventing access on roof. We are really pleased with this installation & it was an absolute pleasure to install for a very nice family just a few days before Christmas, I must say one of our best ones yet !!!!
